Adult Clay Night with Open Studio

Develop your clay skills in a friendly community ceramics studio. Beginners and long-time clay lovers work side by side to make handbuilt and wheel thrown work. Bring your own ideas or choose from suggestions. Make a bowl on the wheel, build a vase out of slabs, play with surface design techniques...
A variety of Cone 6 clays ($10-25/bag) and glazes are available for electric firings. Raku firings and testing of the gas kiln with reduction effects are possible, depending on interest and weather.
Instruction is available during Tuesday night class time. Enrolled students enjoy open studio access during Cultural Center hours (Wednesdays-Mondays, 10am-4pm, closed Tuesdays).

Cost $90 + materials
Open Studio – Daily Fee
For those with some previous experience in the Lincoln City Cultural Center clay studio who would like to drop in and use the studio but not receive instruction. Arrangements need to be made for available days/times and to take home work.
Cost: $15 per day + cost of materials.
For those looking to improve their skills in an individualized setting and receive one-on-one instruction. Open to all levels. For ages 16 and up.
Cost: $25 per hour + cost of materials.
Special Events and Activities
The studio is happy to host opportunities to support artistic growth and community. Potential activities include workshops with visiting artists or to focus on a specific techniques, studio visits, ceramic sales and social gatherings.
- For the safety of equipment and everyone's work, use of studio clay and glazes in required, except by special permission.
- The studio is not equipped to support production potters, but for the exploration and enjoyment of clay.
